Make Up

My girls had the privilege of taking part in the Nutcracker Ballet. They auditioned back in late summer and both of them made the cut. We spent good chunk of time at the practices and rehearsals. I even had to learn how to do a stage make up.

The girls officially have better make-up than I do.
They both enjoyed their performances tremendously and are already talking about next year!!!
I only have a picture of Emma. I am still waiting for pictures of Jo in her costume.

Great job girls. Job well done. We couldn't have been more proud of you both.

Second Sunday of Advent

At that time Mary got ready and hurried to a town in the hill country of Judea, where she entered Zechariah's home and greeted Elizabeth. When Elizabeth heard Mary's Greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. In a loud voice she exclaimed: "Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the child you will bear! But why am I so favored, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? As soon as the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy. Blessed is she who has believed that what the Lord has said to her will be accomplished!" And Mary said: "My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant. From now on all generations will call me blessed, for the Mighty One has done great things for me-- holy is his name. His mercy extends to those who fear him, from generation to generation. He has performed mighty deeds with his arm; he has scattered those who are proud in their inmost thoughts. He has brought down rulers from their thrones but has lifted up the humble. He has filled the hungry with good things but has sent the rich away empty. He has helped his servant Israel, remembering to be merciful to Abraham and his descendants forever, even as he said to our fathers."

He is 11

My baby boy is 11! I cannot believe it has been 11 years since we welcomed him to this world. He is growing into to a nice young man and he is already reaching for the starts.
Nate requested a visit to our small planetarium on his birthday and after we finished our school work for the week we head up there.
What a special day with my kiddos.
I have been blessed to have them all in my life and I so thankful for their love for each other.
Sam almost ready to fly.
The kids had fun looking at different displays and the girls enjoyed a weather forecast girlie style.
 Happy Birthday big brother.

Sam will have to grow a little.
But he can still dream and with a little photoshop help almost make it real.

Frogs

Another one of my many projects I am just finishing up. My girls have a love affair with frogs and I have to admit that even I have a nice collection of these green creatures. When I saw this pattern I knew right away I had to make this pair. It took me longer then I was hoping but they are here and they look amazing.

The kids had fun taking pictures in them and Emma even tried the old "kiss the frog" trick on both of the boys.
No prince charming there but one day they will be.
Jo just wanted to look cute as always.
Emma giving it a try with with Nate.
I sold the girl frog (the one with the flower) before it was even finished so I do not own it anymore.
I still have have the prince frog here at home and if you are interested let me know.

Nativity Scene

This is my latest project. It took few (or three) years to finish it but I am glad I did it. It is all cut out of pater and glue onto dark blue background. This is a Nativity scene Czech style.

Sneak Peak

I worked on our Christmas cards today. Here is a little sneak peak.
