Sunday Reflections

We need to keep reminding ourselves that without the Lord we can do nothing. It needs to become a habit of mind with each of us to tell the Lord as we tackle each task, 'I can't do this without your help, please help me', and then to expect to be helped because we have admitted our helplessness, giving up self-reliance and are now looking to Him.

Last Game of the season and pictures from this week

We have been busy this week. We went strawberry picking and I ended up making two batches of Strawberry freezer jam, two batches of Strawberry rhubarb jam and one batch of Strawberry Jalapeno jam. Jo was a big helper when it comes to strawberry picking. For every five strawberries I put into the tray she ate one.

We tried to enjoy the warm weather as much as possible. We could not get Jo out of the water.

We enjoyed some biking.

And soccer practices and the boys LAST soccer games this morning.

This weekend the Nascar race is in NH and we got to see a few cars around town.

What can I say? It rained today AGAIN!!!

As you can tell I am enjoying working on my new projects. I do not have time during the school year for this so in a way I am enjoying the rainy days. However, we are all looking forward to sunny days soon!. I picked this pattern on one of my trips to quilting store. It is from Bunny Hill Designs.

The bag is made from 2 1/2 inch strips and it's fun fun to make it.

My latest Projects

It started yesterday morning. I just finished dresses for the girls for 4th of July (you will have to wait until then to see them). Since it was raining again and we were staying home I pulled out a new pattern from Lila Tueller.

I have never done shiring and let me tell you if I can do it anybody can. I made the Mia top as a sample yesterday afternoon and it was a big hit with both girls (so that meant I would have to make another one for Jo).

So this morning I made these for both of the girls.

They love them and they look so cute in them.

The tops are long enough for them to wear as dresses.

Yet they look great with pants as well.

I have few more projects laying around that I would like to do. Since the forecast looks rainy (again) I may get to it sooner then later:)

Denver Trip Post
