Dancing away

I love Emma's outfit. It looks very professional. However she still is a peanut.

This post is way overdue. I know it has been over a month since we finished ballet for the year but I just need to post these cute pictures of my cuties. They worked hard all year for their Father's Day performance and both of them did a great job.

Emma's (and Jo's) ballet teacher. She is a character that is for sure (both of them :)

Jo in her fluffy outfit.

The girls getting ready.

This year they were both in the same show.

On stage with mom. :)
We are taking a break from ballet over the summer but we will be back in the fall.

Make Up

My girls had the privilege of taking part in the Nutcracker Ballet. They auditioned back in late summer and both of them made the cut. We spent good chunk of time at the practices and rehearsals. I even had to learn how to do a stage make up.

The girls officially have better make-up than I do.
They both enjoyed their performances tremendously and are already talking about next year!!!
I only have a picture of Emma. I am still waiting for pictures of Jo in her costume.

Great job girls. Job well done. We couldn't have been more proud of you both.

Catching up ....

Wondering what we have been up to?

Well the girls finished their dancing year with a big dance recital. Emma on stage dancing to "Man of LaMancha"

Both girls

Emma had a fun this year learning a lot in her ballet lessons.

She is also doing much better playing soccer this spring.

And we finally took a trip to the beach.

The kids enjoy playing outside a lot even in the rain.

They are just enjoying life.

Let's see if we can get mom wet.

I have no idea how Jo stayed dry.

(Emma didn't)

I believe we can officially say spring made it to New England.

Sunday - Anniversary - Cinderella

First of all
Happy Anniversary to my in - laws.

Today they celebrated 46 years together. In the evening our family plus my mom and my brother went to The National Theatre to see the ballet Cinderella.
We came a little early to walk through the theatre that is so rich in history.

Music for Cinderella.

Dancing all around

Just because there is snow on the ground and the boys are busy with basketball doesn't mean that dancing lessons are put on hold. The girls are doing a great job dancing. Emma is turning into a little ballerina and ... ... Jo is taping away at her lessons.
Emma trying on a head piece from Swan Lake.
Hula hoops are always fun at the end of the class.

Way to go girls.

Nutcracker on Christmas Eve

Thanks to Fil's parents, we got to enjoy a new experience this Christmas Eve. All of us (including uncle Vittee) got to go see The Nutcracker in Boston. The kids had no idea but Emma figured it out as soon as we got off the exit (I did take her to Boston Ballet last spring). The girls have been talking about The Nutcracker for a long time so it was a big surprise for them. The boys were not so sure about it thinking that ballet was for girls but seeing all the families around us they did enjoy the performance very much.

(The boys did not get crowns)

Right after the ballet we went to church and after we enjoyed our traditional Christmas Eve dinner (including honey, crackers and garlic. And this year all of the kids did eat it).

THANK YOU GRANDPA AND GRANDMA VERY MUCH!!!

Coppelia

Last weekend I took Emma to Boston to see a big ballet production of Coppelia. It was just the two of us and we had a great time.

It was a beautiful day in New England and we enjoyed a nice walk around Boston Gardens.

The spring is here, look at all those trees blooming.

I was not sure how Emma would do but she did great. She sat through the entire 3 hours (with two intermissions) and loved every minute of it.

After we were leaving she told me wanted to come again the next day and I cannot wait to take her again.
