Good bye Prague

A week ago we said good bye to Prague. We took a nice last walk through the city in the morning with the grandparents. I will miss these walks a lot.

I believe the dolls were a hit with the girlies. Some of them were as tall as they are!

Charles Bridge. I used to walk across this bridge regularly. It is packed with tourists these days still it is something I do miss as well.

Good bye Prague (and Czech Republic) We sure hope to be back again!!!

Prague

On Monday we headed out on our third date in one week with Fil. We got take advantage of our grandparents. The girls stayed home with Grandma (Emma is still feeling under the weather).

The boys took grandpa on their own outing. We all walked together to the Prague Castle. Here are the boys posing for few pictures before they went on their own. Their final destination was the tower (top of it) behind them.

 

You can see part of the old city in this picture. At that time we didn't know but a few minutes later there was a gas explosion (injuring 40 people) by the river and closed down a good part of old town.

First they walked down to the river and then back up to the tower.

Fil said good bye to Czech Republic and he headed out the next day early in the morning.

Tram Museum - Prague

After our second group returned from their German/Polish adventure we moved to Fil's parents place in the big city (Prague). On Thursday Fil and I celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary. The grandparents offered to watch our kids so Fil and I spend most of the day in town on our own. I didn't take camera with me since we both wanted to enjoy our time together and just relax and feel the city around us that we used to be part of. We even had lunch at a restaurant where we used to go on dates. 

The boys, uncle Vittie and grandpa enjoyed the technical museum and a long walk as well. At night we all went to a theater to see a production called Slapstick. It had some ballet in it for the girls to enjoy and it was funny to keep the boys entertained. They are very good about our cultured experiences.

On Friday we all slept in a little bit after a late night. I ended up staying home with the girls (Emma got sick as well but with some kind of flu). We also arrived in Europe with spring in the air and most of us got hit with allergies. The rest of the group headed into the city. In the afternoon Fil and I went to a chocolate museum on our own (can you believe it a second date in one week!!!)

On Saturday we all headed out into the world to visit a Public Transport Museum. and to take a ride through Prague on an old tram.

I told the kids to look excited :)

We had a nice ride through Prague. Public transportation is a everyday thing for local people. It is one of the main things I miss.

 

In the evening we said good bye to uncle Vittee. We will miss him!!!

Sunday Last full day in Europe

On Sunday morning we said good bye to my mom's place and to the doggies. I am sure they are looking forward to peace and quiet time for a change.

It was also great to see my cousin and her daughter who came up all the way from Moravia to say hi to us. On the way back to Prague we took the train. Just because we could and it was fun run ride.

In the afternoon we went for a walk with grandma and grandpa and took some lanterns with us to light them and send them up in the air.

And it did fly. First it got stuck but after that it was up in the sky. Can you see the tiny little dot in the sky?
