Summer Fun

Our family is enjoying the warm summer days in New England with plenty of activities on our calendar.

Last week we attended a summer concert at a nearby park to listen to old Beatles' tunes. The kids had a blast dancing and singing (days to follow).

Emma, our free spirited girl.

She is my 100% girlie girl. Always in skirts or dresses only.
And silly as silly can be.

Jo is never too far behind her big sitter.Even the boys got Beatles fever.

Emma and Jo are growing closer to each other every day. It is a joy to watch them play together.What kind of a summer would it be without spending time in the water!!!

Good bye

It was hard to say good bye to the grandparents. The kids have been blessed to spent tons of time with them this year since we were in Europe in spring. It was hard to see them go back home and we wish they were much closer to us!

We enjoyed some good New Hampshire ice cream.

We had plenty of rainy days last week.
So when the sun finally peeked out of the clouds we took the opportunity and headed out to the beach.

Grandma got to wash her feet in three oceans in last four months.

Anybody else wants to come over and enjoy the New England summer? The Steiger Clan hotel is open for business.

Strawberries

Annual strawberry picking. This year we had help from grandma and grandpa.

We got total of 20lb (10kg) of fresh strawberries. I made two batches of jam, froze two gallons for winter months to make smoothies and the for eating for a few days.

Pinta & Nina & ....

We took several field trips this spring.

Last week two replica's of Columbus' ships were close by and we just had to go and see. We got to go on board the Nina and Pinta and we were very surprised how small they were.

Yet they have made the journey across the ocean many times.

The kiddos had a blast exploring the ships.

Wondering what we have been up to?

Well the girls finished their dancing year with a big dance recital. Emma on stage dancing to "Man of LaMancha"

Emma had a fun this year learning a lot in her ballet lessons.

She is also doing much better playing soccer this spring.

And we finally took a trip to the beach.

The kids enjoy playing outside a lot even in the rain.

They are just enjoying life.

Let's see if we can get mom wet.

I have no idea how Jo stayed dry.
