Happy Mother's Day

Last weekend I took Emma to Boston to see a big ballet production of Coppelia. It was just the two of us and we had a great time.

It was a beautiful day in New England and we enjoyed a nice walk around Boston Gardens.

The spring is here, look at all those trees blooming.

I was not sure how Emma would do but she did great. She sat through the entire 3 hours (with two intermissions) and loved every minute of it.

After we were leaving she told me wanted to come again the next day and I cannot wait to take her again.

Sunday Reflections

We need to keep our heart full of a sense of the love of God. This is the greatest perspective available to us against the power of temptation in the world...Fill your heart with a sense of the love of God in Christ, and apply the eternal design of grace and shed blood to yourselves. Accept all the privileges of adoption, justification and acceptance with God. Fill your heart with thoughts of the beauty of holiness..,.then in the ordinary course of walking with God, you will experience great peace and security from temptation.

Easter Fun

I could not believe the beautiful weather we had this Easter. We are used to looking for Easter eggs in the snow. However, this year we were blessed not only with clear blue sky and sunshine but warm weather as well. We spent most of the day outside enjoying our family.

We had a surprise visit from Fil's parents who stopped by on their way back to Europe from Arizona.

Sunday Reflections - Happy Easter

If Easter means Jesus Christ is only raised in a spiritual sense - [then] it is only about me, and finding a new dimension in my personal spiritual life. But if Jesus Christ is truly risen from the dead, Christianity becomes good news for the whole world - news which warms our hearts precisely because it isn't just about warming hearts. Easter means that in a world where injustice, violence and degradation are endemic, God is not prepared to tolerate such things - and that we will work and plan, with all the energy of God, to implement the victory of Jesus over them all.
