Moritzburg

 

I know I haven't posted in the last few days but I do have a good excuse :) Our family took a trip and I will have to split it all into several posts. Also some of our members are sick and I have been busy with getting everybody feeling better!

Last Tuesday we took a trip to a neighboring country Germany (about 45 minutes from my mom).

 We all met early in the morning since our itinerary was packed to the last minute.

 First stop was Moritzburg Castle (site in German, English and Czech). This is a castle known for the filming of the Czech version of Cinderella. The movie was filmed here many years ago and is a Christmas classic.

 We were all impressed with the castle's size.

 The castle is very impressive from the outside. But only a small portion of it open to public with many pictures of hunting scenes.

 We all enjoyed our small tour, walked around the castle.

Train trip

Today we ended up going on a mini train ride. My brother was called to work so we were without one car therefor unable make a car trip anywhere. That didn't stop us from going out. And what American kid is not exited about trains.

After a long afternoon running around town we finally made it to an ice cream shop.

Full day. And the best part for the kids was when they saw my brother waiting for us at the train station with the dogs.

Sunday Football

 

This morning we woke up to Gangnam Style on the alarm. I wanted to make sure everybody was up and ready to go right a way since we had a busy day ahead of us. This morning we went to my mom and my brother's church. We were able to meet many new people and had a great time fellowshiping with their church family. We all had lunch together. Our kids made new friends (especially the girls) and were busy running around with them. Fil's parents came up as well and if you can see from the pictures Fil's brother (the famous uncle Vittee) made it to the same continent. I believe last time we were all in the same country was at our wedding!!!

After lunch we tried to go for a little outing but with three cars and drivers, who had no clue where they were going, we were happy at the end (and after many wrong turns) to make it to my brothers football game.

Traveling - Day 1.

The kids waiting in Zurich (Switzerland) for our last plane ride. The boys had been up for more then 24 hours at this point and Nate was barely standing on his legs. They fell asleep before the plane even took off.

Our family is traveling in the upcoming weeks. We all have been looking forward to our change of scenery (and even a continent). We all worked very hard in school so we can cash in our winter, spring vacation all at once. We made it across the pond safely (we left Boston airport at 9:45pm on Thursday night and had no clue want happened in Boston until we landed in Prague. We praise God for his protection.)

 The kids have been looking forward to meeting the newest member of our family. Aida (the bigger dog) is only a 5 month old puppy. She loves us all and wants all of our attention all the time.

 She is very well behaved dog.

 And she is best friends with anybody who will scratch her belly.
