Fun

And here are some pictures just for fun. The kids got this fish from grandma and grandpa. They (the grandparents) stopped on the way from Costa Rica in Atlanta for one day and visited Atlanta Aquarium. Nate is feeding this fish some OJ in the morning. (Maybe it was thirsty.)
Here is Emma in a Disney store. She loves any spinning toys. She got one for Christmas from uncle Vit but it is broken now. (maybe uncle will get another one next time?)
Nate and Sam on a bus ride in the mall. They love just playing around on the little rides. They do not care if I will turn it on (pay for it) for them or not.

And here is Nate on a train ride. The boys have such a great imagination.

Catching up

Well here I am catching up with my blog. There are as many winter picture I can take. And since the kids enjoy playing inside most of the time during winter months there is not much traveling. However they love playing outside as well. Especially when we get some fresh snow and we did not get that much this year. Sam is trying to get down the hill on his sled but standing up. He is doing great and maybe in two years he will take some snowboard lessons from uncle Vit.
Nate on the other hand enjoys playing with summer equipment even during cold weather. He likes to play on the swing set and with beach toys in our driveway as well riding the bike or scooter.
And Emma most of the time plays inside. Not that she would not like to go outside but I have to watch her all the time and there is so much that needs to be done inside that we (the girls) do the work inside the house. I am looking forward to the spring when there will be so much to do outside.

Where is the snow?

I wrote this on our driveway last week when we played outside with the kids. For those who do not know Fil, he is walking weather station. This year has been hard on him since we got only few inches of snow so far. (especially compared to Denver) He has been talking about the big mama for a long time. Well last week he got something finally. We got only 10 inches but it made our day.
When we are done sledding in our back yard we head out for the big hill at the city's golf course. Here is Nate and Emma resting after going up and down few times. And this is me with my daughter. She was not so sure about all those people around. But she got to go down with Dad and Mom few times.

Sam and Nate always enjoy sledding. They are such good brothers.

And here is Fil going down with Emma. She was not so sure about it.

And here is Fil coming up with Emma. No surprise there that she wanted to be carried up.
And here is Nate and Sam after their super duper ride down. (They are fine by the way.)

Awana Grand Prix

Today was a big race at Awana. The GRAND PRIX. This year we raced for the first time since it is not for Cubbies but Sparks and up. The boys worked hard on their cars for few weeks with dad and here are the results. Sam won 3rd place in Sparks category. Nate race just for fun since he is in Cubbies. The race was a lots of fun especially for Fil.
The winners of Grand Prix 2007. (Sam is in a yellow shirt)
Nate's car. The rules are no help from parents which was very hard on me. But the boys did a good job. Nate was not officially in the race so he did not have a number so he put all the numbers on just in case.Sam's car.
Joshua Litman and the boys. (Partners in crime (Awana).

You can see Sam's car in the finish lane.

And here is our Emma. She wanted a car too to race with too. (Or to suck on.)

Snow

You are not reading wrong. We are almost in the middle of February and we are so exited about this storm. We got full 3 inches of fresh snow and we call it the storm of the season. Pretty sad huh? Anyhow for those in Colorado let us enjoy our few inches :) As you can see the kids loved it.
Our summer beach toys work even in the winter. I guess a dump truck works with sand as well as with snow.
Emma loved going down the hill in our back yard with Daddy. She did not want to stop like her dad and kept asking for more.

Let's go people :)

Even our cars are in use during the winter months. Emma just like siting in it now but I have a feeling that by summer she will be cruising around.

Ski Lesson

Nate ready for his ski lesson to start.
Sam

Well it finally got cold in New England. Due to the warm weather the ski lessons were canceled for three weeks so here we are in the middle of January and we are actually very happy about the cold front.

Anyhow the boys made it to their first ski lesson this week. (On time) And let me tell you it take some talent to get two boys and a girl ready in the winter. :) But we made it in time and the boys had a great time.

Since the parents are not allowed on the hill with the kids I did not get good pictures but I did more video taping instead so Fil could have seen it later in the day. If you are wondering why the kids have balloons on their helmets it is for the ski instructors to know which child is their. (very good idea)

There are three kids for one instructor. The boys are in a different group but they were on a same hill. Both of them are doing a great job. They can get down the hill for sure. (Some turning and stopping will be in order to learn) Emma just enjoyed beautiful day outside. So could barely move being all bundle up. (but she stayed warm for sure)

New England Aquarium

Finally after crazy holidays and the kids being sick we made it again to Boston. (It is only 1 hour away from us) We were all looking forward to this trip for a while. And since it has been warm and the cold front is coming in any day now we thought we have to go sooner than later.

It was great to see all the sea creatures again. I do not think Emma has been in with us but the boys remembered our previous trips. She was speechless at first but after a while she enjoyed all the fish as well.
The boys were mostly interested it the big fish tank than the little displays. They do not trust sharks but they always get kick out of the biggest turtle we have ever seen. (How ever after Nate requested a book about sharks and he and daddy have been reading it.)
Emma and Fil looking at fish. Some of them were bigger than her. I think she liked the smaller one much better.

Nate and his star fish. Nate caught star fish in the summer when the boys were fishing in Prince Edwards Island. Still he was very careful to touch it.

Here is one of the turtles in the Aquarium. It is not the biggest one but that was the only one that came up for a close up. I do not have a good flash light for indoor pictures and I am still learning to work with my camera but some of the shots turn out very nice.
