Sunday

Good morning.

When we told the kids that we might drive to church this Sunday they were VERY dispointed. They wanted to take a train to my mom's (and my brother's) church. Forget cars when you can ride the train (and two on one trip is a special treat). They didn't mind that we had to get up earlier to catch the train and that there was some walking involved.

Someone was very happy about the train ride (and it was not my brother, just kidding).

 We had a lovely time in church on Sunday morning. I didn't sing much as I lost my voice completely. I also lost the hearing in my left ear from congestion. Other than that I was feeling great :)

After church we spend some time in Usti nad Labem. We took a nice walk back to downtown. The kids got a huge kick from walking through the 'walk thru' window at McDonalds. We Americans have 'drive thru', here they have walk thru or as they call it the hungry window.

 We had lunch at KFC ( a big treat for my kids), did some shopping and had a treat at the end.

 We stopped at some of the same spots we visited few years ago.

Saturday

We are alive. No post in last two days. I have spend one day in bed not feeling well. I am still recovering from something and I sure hope my ears will clear soon so I can hear again.

This morning we all felt good to go for a little walk. The weather here in Europe has been gloomy and cold. This morning was no exception.

In the afternoon the sky cleared and we were able to enjoy some sunshine and warm weather. The girls asked me to make them dandelion crowns.

We got a phone call from the grandparents in the afternoon that their house was way too quiet and that they were on their way for some cup of coffee and some good grand-kids company.

May 1st

 

Happy May 1st everyone. May 1st is a holiday here in Europe. It is a day when you are to to kiss your loved one under a blooming cherry tree. Fil and I kissed under a tree before he left (no picture) but I still had plenty of kisses today from my kids. 

We also moved back to my mom's to enjoy her, my brother and do not forget the dogs.

Prague

On Monday we headed out on our third date in one week with Fil. We got take advantage of our grandparents. The girls stayed home with Grandma (Emma is still feeling under the weather).

The boys took grandpa on their own outing. We all walked together to the Prague Castle. Here are the boys posing for few pictures before they went on their own. Their final destination was the tower (top of it) behind them.

 

You can see part of the old city in this picture. At that time we didn't know but a few minutes later there was a gas explosion (injuring 40 people) by the river and closed down a good part of old town.
