Frogs

 

Another one of my many projects I am just finishing up. My girls have a love affair with frogs and I have to admit that even I have a nice collection of these green creatures. When I saw this pattern I knew right away I had to make this pair. It took me longer then I was hoping but they are here and they look amazing.

 The kids had fun taking pictures in them and Emma even tried the old "kiss the frog" trick on both of the boys.

 No prince charming there but one day they will be.

 Jo just wanted to look cute as always.

 I sold the girl frog (the one with the flower) before it was even finished so I do not own it anymore.

 I still have have the prince frog here at home and if you are interested let me know.

Nativity Scene

This is my latest project. It took few (or three) years to finish it but I am glad I did it. It is all cut out of pater and glue onto dark blue background. This is a Nativity scene Czech style.

I worked on our Christmas cards today. Here is a little sneak peak.

Gingerbread House

The girls had a blast decorating their own ginger bread house.

They looked cute working on it as well.

The boys came down to see the final product and to see if there were any candy left they could get their hands on.

First Sunday of Advent

In the sixth month, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin's name was Mary. The angel went to her and said, "Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you." Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. But the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God. You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end." "how will this be," Mary asked the angel, "since I am a virgin?" The angel answered, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God. Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have child in her old age, and she who was said to be barren is in her sixth month. Tree

We got our Christmas tree today!!! We are a week late since we have been busy with the girls ballet but we were all ready to go this morning no matter what. Even a little snow didn't stop us from heading out.

 We didn't make it to the mountains this year to cut our own but we figured we would save on gas and time by staying local.

 We saw our tree right from our car. We did go look around but came back and knew it was the right one for us.

After that the kids had fun running around looking at different trees and enjoying a little bit of snow.

 Peek a boo is always a fun game to play.

Saturday Walk

We have been blessed with a visit from the grandparents and uncle Vit. It was a fun week to have family around to bring them to our ballet lessons and soccer games. On Saturday we took a nice walk and admired the fall colours in New England.

Leave it to the boys to be silly.

The boys were getting ready for a big game on Sunday (Patriots vs. Broncos). We took several pictures since we didn't know the outcome of the game.



This was just in case the Broncos were to shock the world and win.

This is the picture that already made it around the world and even into a business meeting this Monday. Yes the Patriots won (no surprise there).

I love this picture. Even though the boys have their own favorite teams they love their daddy and he loves them. Best buds in the world taking a walk together.

We made it to a lake where we took a little break while the boys were running in the woods looking for a geocache. And while we waited we educated grandma on how to take jumping pictures. The kids were more than happy to demonstrate.

Grandpa gave it a try as well. He just didn't make it above the rock and we didn't feel like calling the ambulance in the middle of the woods.
