Skiing season

It is that time of the year again to hit the ski slopes and this year you better watch out because the whole Steiger Clan is on the hill!!!
Yep Jo is old enough to join us and she couldn't wait start skiing last Friday. We went down the bunny hill a few times and then she requested to go on the chairlift and try the big hill.

The girls ready to head up.
(Let me tell you it takes a while to get our family ready with 6 pairs of skis, 6 pairs of ski boots and snow boots, jackets, hats, gloves, goggles, snow pants .... etc.)
Jo ready to hit the slopes.

She is cute even in her full skiing outfit.
She wasn't even a little bit scared of getting on the chair lift or off.
Jo going up with daddy.
Emma will even stop for me to pose for pictures.
Emma posing for mommy while we waited for Fil and Jo to catch up with us.
"Mom, Jo is coming down!!!"

And here she is. Coming down like a big girl.
She didn't even want us to help her get up when she fell down.
She was ready to hit the slopes again after lunch didn't even want to take a long break.
That girl will be skiing on her own soon!!!
And then it will be official that mom is the slow poke on the mountain!
No pictures of the boys since there is no way I can keep up with them.

Shopping with my girls

My sweet little girls were the proud owners of a few American Girl gift cards they received for Christmas. However, they are no longer owners of these gift cards since they spent it all in one shopping trip. We headed to American Girl in Boston shortly after Christmas since they couldn't wait to get their new treasures at the store. It was my mom's first trip there so she was a little in shock that such a thing existed. It was packed with girls and their dollies and tons of people everywhere. The girls made their choices quickly. However, we had to wait a long time in line.
Then they insisted on caring their loot through the mall.
Jo couldn't keep up with us but she didn't need or want any help from us.
We stopped to pose for pictures for my mom.
How about if we could see your faces?
 Never mind.
It all made it home even though we lost Emma's bag in Lego store and Jo gave up on caring her box and let uncle Vitte to help her. They are now the proud owners of a Biddy baby wagon and tons of new outfits for their babies.
Life is never dull with those two.

It Sucks

For Christmas I got a new vacuum cleaner from my mom ("Thanks mom"). It arrived last week and I am still waiting for somebody to show up to do the actual vacuuming. Until that time I have my eyes on my two big helpers.
Emma loves vacuuming with our new machine. We used to have a upright vacuum cleaner and I have to tell you that I missed a canister vacuum (that is what we use in Europe). This way my kids can help with the vacuuming since it was too hard for them to operate the upright one.
Emma managed to vacuum the girls whole room without any problems on her own.

She even helped Jo and let her finish the job.
I love my two cute little helpers.
Oh and the vacuum cleaner can suck.
It has some power!!!
