Sunday Reflections
- C.S. Lewis, God in the Dock
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David's throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this.
(Isaiah 9:6-7)

Day at the Mine
We did have a great time and all the kids loved the whole rock idea.
Everybody got a bucket (or a small bag, the boys got hammers) to collect any type of rocks they could find.
Emma does everything with a style.
Jo filled her little bucket many times and dumped it right a way. She ended up bringing home one rock:)
I had mixed feeling when I saw Emma with the hammer. She did fine and there were no broken fingers.

We had no major injures only scraped knees.

Day at the ZOO

The giraffes were fun to watch. This zoo has a whole family so the girls fell in love with the "baby" giraffe.
Flamingos were a big hit with Emma for their pink color.
Cooling off with some water.
This was the fastest turtle I have ever seen. It was moving from one corner to another with some speed.
Bald eagles
The girls dresses are a huge hit everywhere we go.

Sunday Reflections

How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.
