Live In This Moment

This past Saturday Fil and I had the opportunity to be a part of Steven Curtis Chapman concert. We volunteered to help with the fundraising for the "change for the orphans" program sponsored by Shaohanna's Hope and AWAA. Steven has been on the road for a while now and I believe he is wrapping up his tour this week. Some other families from AWAA have been part of this fundraiser all over America. We sent our greeting with the Shaohannah's Hope staff to Syracuse in NY the next day so I hope you guys got it.


Steven with his band. He had his two boys playing with him and I have to say that Will rocks on drums and he is only 16. We got to see most of the concert and were able to meet other AWAA families form the Maine area. We had a great time and came home very late that night.

Counting money. We were able to raise $2700 that night and the money was matched (up to $4000) and Steven Curtis Chapman was able to give a local family a grant already approved by Shaohannah's Hope on stage for their adoption.

Carcassone

We are always looking for a good game to play with our family. We got the Carcassone board game a few years back and both me and Fil enjoy it very much. This week Sam has been asking if he can try to play it with us so when grandma and I headed to CBD sale down in Massachusetts Fil taught Sam how to play it. Sam grasped it's rules quickly and he even got the biggest city every build in our family. You go Sam.
Poor guy he has been sick all week. I sure hope you will start feeling better soon.

Grandma

We have grandma here. What a joy for the kids and for me as I am always in the need of an extra sets of hands.

Everybody in our family loves to read. We have bookshelves in every room and in the hallway (we may have some books in boxes as well). We read a lot for our school and here are the kids with grandma reading again just a few minutes after we finished school. Don't they look cozy?

Do any of you know what grandma and the kids are up to?
They are grinding poppy seeds.
In Europe we use poppy seeds in cooking a lot. Poppy seeds are much cheaper over there so each time someone comes visit us I ask for poppy seeds.
We all enjoyed pasta with poppy seeds and sugar for lunch.

Most of grandmas bring gifts for their grandchildren ..... .... our grandma bring droppings all the way from Scotland.

Sam I am

I cannot believe my baby is 7 years old. Sam had a birthday this past Sunday and we took him out to one of his favorite spots to eat the Bugaboo Creek Restaurant. Emma is not so sure about the talking buffalo and moose above the fireplace but the food is always good. I normally have my camera on me all the times but the only picture I have from Sunday is from the restaurant. I did make a soccer ball cake for Sam and we shared it with everybody at our Bible study.

On the way home from the restaurant I saw this car ahead of us with this plate. Sam has been called Sam I am many times and I was funny to see it on a licence plate.

Leaves

Here are some of the leaves I liked this fall season. I already posted some so you be the judge which one is the perfect one. Personally I have to say I love them all. I am amazed how some of the leaves have all the colours. Green, yellow, red, orange.

I liked this one because it looks like someone just brushed the ends with a red brush.

The colorful season in Northern New England is over. This year was one of the most beautiful falls we've had since we moved up here. Now the holiday season is about to start.
