Another Day skiing ..... and SNOWING (again)

We spent another day on the mountain and guess what? It was snowed all day long! We were getting so much snow that it kept most people from coming up. But not the crazy Steigers. No we made it up and loved it all. We got 10 inches during the day and we had to dig our car out so we could leave to go home!

Here is Emma busily working on getting the snow of my car after a full day of skiing. I was hoping the kids would get tired at least this once with all the snow but no. Only Fil and I were tired, the kids ended up playing outside after we came home (while Fil worked on clearing our driveway). The boys were ready for baskeball games at 8am the next day!

We couldn't see the top of the mountain all day.

Emma still busy cleaning the car.

Sam finally done skiing (after I told him it was time to go). He was ready to go up again if I didn't call him in.

Tons of snow in New England.

Maybe the spring will make it here someday!

By my self .....

Last Friday Fil had to go to work so I ended up on the mountain skiing all by myself with an extra three kids. Friends of ours watched Jo and her daughter in the lodge while I prayed all day that nothing would happen to anybody. I didn't see most of them all day but Emma and I had a blast skiing together. What does a tired momma do when she gets tired and she need a little break to catch her breath? She finds a steep hill and sends her kids to slide down (oh and brings camera with her). I wish my pictures had sounds so you could hear the kids laughter and screams!

They just had a blast!

Jo wasn't so sure at first but it didn't take her long to climb the steep hill and enjoy the ride down.

Nate coming down at full speed.

Don't forget to smile for the camera! Nate coming head down first.

That was fun, let's do that again!

Emma was the fastest kid out there. She outran everybody up the hill.

This is the only picture of anybody on skis. Proof that we were skiing indeed.

Can you just see the joy in her eyes?

Brothers racing down the hill.

I thought this would tire them a little but after just a 1/2 hour running up and down they were ready to ski. So I went to put away my camera, put on my skies and on the chair lift we went.

On the way home I thanked God for keeping us safe. We missed daddy a lot and are looking forward to more skiing with him!

And she is off ....

Our little girl took off on her own!!! A few weeks ago she just started skiing on her own, no more Racer Chaser straps!!! And she is in complete control while skiing.

She loves going on chair lift with her daddy. Way to go girl!!! Now if you can just avoid those jumps so mommy can sleep at night.

The boys ...

... my two partners in skiing.

What happens when you leave boys in charge ...

A few days ago after we got home from running around the kids wanted to play outside. I asked the boys to keep an eye on the girls while I got something done inside the house. A few minutes later I heard knocking on the door and there was Sam with a big smile:

Sam:"Guess what?"

Me:"What?"

Sam:"The girls can jump off the rock now and I taught them!"

Me:"Great!!!!" So I grabbed my camera and went to see the big jumps.

The girls are VERY proud of themselves and their jumping abilities. Nothing warms moms heart more than seeing her children in the air!

At least we have so much snow that there is a soft landing.

Sam working on his jumping with style.

They all had blast jumping together.

Soft landing.

Anyone wants to send their kids over?
