The kids spent most of the day outside today and I am surprised they didn't freeze since it was only 12 F. (Brrrrrrrr) Some of the neighbor kids came over to play and they all had a ball.
Emma got her beach toys out and worked around the driveway where daddy managed to clear some snow. Poor girl she couldn't really move in the snow since it was up to my knees.
She tried to help daddy.

And here is Fil by the swing set. As you can see the swings are not swinging anymore.
Fil made a big pile for the kids to jump into. After they got tired of jumping they started digging in it and making little holes for themselves. After awhile they connected them and made tunnels. Here is Sam and Griffin one of our neighbors.
Here they are working on their tunnels.

How did you spent your Sunday?
I just wanted to let you know that I baked Christmas cookies like crazy today. I only have one picture but I made so much more and I already have some in the freezer that I made earlier. I am almost done. I can not wait to make little bags and take them to the neighbors. Hopefully we will not eat them by then.
I love my Costco shopping bags. They are so big. The kids are standing inside them and there is still plenty of room. It works great for big stores like Costco but it also works for regular grocery stores as well. I used to get so mad when they packed my groceries into 100 plastic bags and I had to fold them after I put the groceries away. Now I have 2 big bags and a few smaller ones and it works out great (It also saves trips up and down the stairs).
I am pleasantly surprised that Emma loves playing in the snow. Last year she didn't care for it since she could barely move but somehow this year she loves it.
I couldn't believe how fluffy this snow is. If you look closely on the picture below it doesn't even look like snow on Emma. So much for building snow man.

Today seems to be a day we got all sorts of news. I will start with the sad news since it left us with heavy hearts when we got the news from Penelope this morning that she didn't have good news. The Carpenters court date didn't go through because of some paperwork issue. Our agency is not even sure what went wrong yet. At this point they are hoping for more definite news tomorrow. Please join us in prayer for this family as they are more then ready to bring their little ones home soon.
There was a great deal of happy news as well. We get to rejoice with the other 3 families (possibly 4) whose court date did go through and are now officially parents to these little children. It is a joy to see these little ones and I sure hope they will get to travel soon to bring them home. You can only imagine that this brought all sorts of questions for our group waiting for our court date. We received an email form our agency this afternoon that they are going to file our papers at MOWA and try set a court date as expeditiously as possible. This is a huge step for us as we have been waiting since October 19th to start moving. It would be a nice Christmas present to have a court date even though at this point we understand it will probably take more then one attempt to make it through the courts.
12Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses. 13In the sight of God, who gives life to everything, and of Christ Jesus, who while testifying before Pontius Pilate made the good confession, I charge you 14to keep this command without spot or blame until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15which God will bring about in his own time—God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords, 16who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see. To him be honor and might forever. Amen.
1 Timothy 6 :12-16

And here is how it was suppose to look. Well boys will be boys.
Anyway I thought that some of you out there may be interested in some ideas for the kids. I am always looking for some more craft ideas so let me know if you come across of something.
