For those of you who did not know we had to make a trip to New York City last weekend. Since I will need a new passport next year and I am not US citizen I needed to go to the Czech Consulate to take care of the paperwork. We do not like to leave things until the last minute so we went ahead and started the process. The closest consulate is in NYC so we made a weekend trip out of it (we didn't complain too much since we now had a valid excuse to go).
We had a "few" things that needed to be done on Saturday so we did not get to CT until later in the day (we took the train in from Stamford CT). Sunday was our first full day in the city. I will have to split the trip into
different blog entries. Just in case you did not notice this blog entry is from Liberty Island.
I was just happy it was not freezing. We had chilly weather but nothing to complain about.
When we told the boys last week where we were going, you should have seen their eyes. They got so exited. We got all the books we could carry from the library and they studied all information they could get their little hands on. They were
especially excited about the Statue of
Liberty. So we made it our first stop. We took the ferry to the island and walked around (we did not go inside the statue since the tickets are sold out few weeks in advance).

Emma on the way back home. The kids got this very loud horn with their party favors and they loved it (They did love it because they are no more. I took cake of that that night after everybody went to bed.) . Anyhow she got a big kick out of it on the way home. (Yes she did figure out how it worked)
Emma loves anything that has to do with dolls. I can not wait to take her to American Girl in New York City.

Did I mention that a storm is coming in few days? Well at least we got a little bit of a teaser for spring. The end of winter is coming.
