On Sunday morning we went to church like we do every Sunday when we are at home. It is always a joy to be with other believers. The kids did not understood much of what was going on but the boys had fun looking for words in czech and trying to figure out what it was in english.

After lunch we told the kids we would go out for ice cream to a castle. The boys told me we went to a castle yesterday, so I told them it was a different one. To that they told me they thought we were planing on going to a castle on Monday and I told them it was another castle all together. Welcome to Europe!!! There is always another castle around the corner. This one had a little play ground where the kids (and their uncle) enjoyed running around.

I have to tell you (write) that this small castle is offices now and it used to be a school.

It is right by the river 'Labe'.

And I cannot forget the dogs. Both Emma and Jo adore them and spend a lot of time with them. Jo even uses them as pillows and they let her!!!

Kiss good night from 'Fido'.

First Full day in Europe

Today we all woke up well rested after a full night sleep. We decided to take it easy to get use to the time zone and spent the morning around my mom's house. The girls got to chase the dogs around and even helped grandma with her garden.

Here is Jo with Nena who watches my girls each time they played outside. She always stayed by their side. Jo trying to feed dirt to Nena who prefered her stick.
Nate and Fido.

The girls busy digging.

Jonas still has his first scooter so the kids took turns riding on the side walk.

After lunch we felt more adventurous and took a little trip to a close by ruin.
Taking a little rest on the way up. And yes people in Europe hike to castles and ruins. They do not drive cars up.
View from the top.

Little village. Love the red roofs.
With Babi at the top.
Jo was looking for a Rapunzel the whole time and was yelling on top of her lung "Rapunzel, Rapunzel let down your hair".

All of us at the top tower.

Staying Up ...

Just a quick note and a few pictures to say we made it across the big pond. Our kids are such great travelers. As I am writing this blog I have been awake the last 30 hours with only about 1 hour of sleep. I am getting tired but we made it.

We all enjoyed a walk before diner. The spring is in ful bloom in Europe!!!
Sam looking tired.
My brother Jonas and his neices and nephews.

Babi (grandma) with the kiddos.

My mom's dogs are a huge hit with the girls. They did not leave them alone all day long.

We are tired and are looking forward to a good night sleep.

Spring Time in New England

You might think I am making this whole spring stuff up. Just to show you what life in New England is here are pictures from last Thursday night. The snow is almost gone and the girls pulled out some beach toys to play in the dirt. As you can see they are still wearing hats and winter jackets. It almost looks like spring right?
Well this is what our swing set looked on Friday morning!!!
Happy Spring everyone.

A little sneak peak what I have been up to ... ... busy with thread and needle.
I have two big helpers and it is a joy creating with them.
