Upstate New York Day 3.

Another beautiful day in the Adirondacks. As you can see we spent most of the day by the water again.

Alexandra always looked so stylish on the dock (even with her drool).

It is funny to see the difference in the size of life jackets. The one on the right is Alexandra in hers and the one next to her is Sam's (the boys are growing up fast).

Upstate New York Day 2.

We could not have asked for better weather on the lake. You bet that we spent all day on the deck and in the water (well Fil and the kids I did not get in once).

Since there was no adult in the water Emma moved the crab into the kiddy pool. It fit perfectly.

I believe this was Emma's only canoe ride. Maybe watching Fil flipping over later in the day did not help much.

And our evening walks after dinner. Yes we did go with the Carpenter's and it was fun seeing how much the kids grew since last year when we were here last.

Penelope made this tutu (and one for Jo as well) and everybody who knows my Emma should not be surprised she wore it most of the day.

I love this picture. There is something about a little boy in boots, a big bulldozer, and a girl in a tutu. You do not see that everyday.

Upstate New York Day 1.

We made to Adirondacks in upstate New York last Sunday night. This is a vacation we were all looking forward for awhile.

One of our favorite things is to take evening walks.

And enjoying each others company.

Poppy Dip Dress

Last week I won a Poppy Dip Dress on Keri's blog.

I have been eyeing this website for some time. If you never visited or you are looking for a nice homemade dress (at a good price) go to Poppy Dip. Sallee is one of the many talented moms out there and is using her talent to raise money for their adoption. Since I have two cute girls I had to order one dress for Emma as well (I won the first one).


The dresses were waiting for us in the mailbox when we got home from our vacation and what a nice surprise.

Both girls wore them to church this morning and we got lots of compliments and I gave out many cards to the Poppy Dip blog (I sure hope there will be many more Poppy Dip dresses in our church by the end of the summer:).

Sunday Reflections

At times it is good for me to think back to when God has answered my prayers. He is always attentive to my cry to Him, and is ever faithful to answer my prayers. He hears His children's voices, whether they be full of overflowing praise or anguished strivings. our Lord responds to our prayers according to His will for our good.
