Hair Stuff

We got an update on Jordan from the Transitional Home (TH) in Ethiopia. Jordan gained 2 pounds in last two weeks. Rachel from TH also wrote that : "The nannies love to fix Sentayhu’s hair, and she has a new “do” every few days!".

That brings me to hair products. I looked around several times in the past and I asked on my blog for any ideas. Thank you so much for all your input. I got on the yahoo group Candy recommended. At the end I did order some stuff from Blended Beauty. I liked them because they were the only one offering a sample packets. I didn't want to order a big thing of something I wouldn't like so I got his one and we shall see.
We have less then 6 days to go (no I haven't started packing yet). Also many of you asked if we are traveling with someone. We will be on our own but Duni told me there will be family in Ethiopia already. We are not sure who this family is. We will be back in the US Easter Sunday morning.

Meeting a Blog Friend

This afternoon we got to meet Lori and her son Nicolas. We have been trying to get together for sometime. It somehow worked out today that we both had few hours free and we all spent it at Barnes and Noble. The kids enjoyed looking at books and playing with the trains and even posed for a few pictures for two crazy blog moms.

Nicolas is a cute boy and I cannot wait to see the kids playing outside in the summer (yes we still have plenty of snow on the ground).
Sam
(I know I should have washed Sam's face first before taking pictures.)

Even with a fast camera it is hard to get a normal face from Nate. Then again what is a normal face anyway. And Emma. Because she is so cute.
It is fun getting know people through blogging and it is even more fun to meet them in person.

We cannot wait to get together with Lori again. Hopefully next time we will have Jordan with us and they will have a referral by then. They have been waiting for sometime as well (since August).

Ski lessons - Done

We are done with ski lessons. (finally) I thought it would never end. The last few lessons were cancelled so we had to make them up. So on Monday, our last lesson, was a double session. Fil took the late afternoon off to help the instructors with kids on the chairlifts. They all skied from 3.30pm until 7pm. They had a great time. Sam improved so much this past year. He is doing very well and was racing daddy down the hill. He is very much in control the entire way down.
Nate improved as well. He is doing his pizza and he can slightly turn. Much better then last year.

It was very nice and sunny on Monday so I let Emma wear my sunglasses.
And here she is. Our fairy.

Traveling dates and Our Cutie Girl

We are going to Ethiopia. I thought this would never happen. I was so nervous the last few days. We got a phone call on Friday with probable travel dates for the week of the 22nd (Easter weekend). We were hoping to travel no later than the 15th so we asked if there is any way we can go earlier. And guess what? Travel arrangements are being made for the 15th. I am so excited. Time to start getting ready.

Yesterday we got a few pictures from Erica who is in Ethiopia right now. It was a big surprise for us since we know that Hilton hotel doesn't have the fastest internet connection. Isn't she the cutest thing? Both Fil and I couldn't stop looking at her. Here she is with one of her nannies. I cannot wait to give my girl a big kiss on those chubby cheeks (and check out her hair do). So here is my question for all of you out there who have dealt with hair like this. Any suggestions? I have nothing at this point so I will have to go out and get some hair products and it would be helpful if you can give me some ideas.
We are leaving in 11 days.!!!!!!!
And HAPPY BIRTHDAY FIL!!!!!!!

Sunday Reflections

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
Matthew 7:7
So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.
Luke 11:9-10
