There Is More.... .
I just finished reading weekly update from our adoption agency and there was 6 referrals this week. WOW. That is amazing news. Since not everyone is part of our yahoo group I only know about the two I blogged about a few days ago. There are total of 5 families reviewing all the paperwork (yes that means one family got referral for two children). We are rejoicing with all of them. I believe Penelope expressed all of our feelings with this verse:Proverbs 25:25
"Like cold water to a weary soul, is good news from a distant land."

The Carpenter's Got a Referral!!!
My blog friends the Carpenter's got their referral too. What a joyful week it has been. I am so happy for them. They have been waiting for the longest time, over 7 months. I think they should win the patience award. I feel like I know them but I have never met them before. Hopefully one day we will get the chance.I also believe that our yahoo group site crashed last night. Both me and Fil tried to post something and it got stuck.
PRAISE GOD FOR HE IS GOOD.

Great News
I just wanted to let you all know that the David's family got a referral today. We are so exited for them. This is most encouraging news for us we can see the things are starting to move again. They will be waiting now for a court date and a embassy date after that and they should be on their way. Hopefully they will make it all before Christmas. Congratulations to you guys.Tuesday, October 2, 2007
2nd Tooth Fairy Visit
Sam lost his second tooth today. Well actually I took him to the dentist since it was not coming loose very well and we could see the second one coming in already. Anyway the dentist pulled that one out and told me that by next summer we'll need to see the orthodontist. Great I guess you start young right. By the time we will be done paying for our adoption we will start paying for our kids wires :)On the other hand I have been catching up with art work at home with my kids. You would think with my experience and all the stuff I have at home we do much more but it seem that we always run out of time by the time we are done with school. My goal is to focus more often on art in the future so you will hopefully see more. The biggest shock was Emma who did the best job and was the most interested in the whole project. It must be a girl thing.

Quality Time With Daddy
Fil finally found another football fan in our family. The boys are more Nascar fans than football but as you can see Emma sat down with daddy and enjoyed some football on Sunday afternoon. I am sorry to say I have no interest whatsoever in this sport since I grew up outside of the USA. I do like to tease my brother in law about the Broncos and I will always cheer for the team that is playing against them. Fil is a Denver Broncos fan as well but he doesn't care about my comments.
Here is Fil and Emma checking the fantasy football stats online. We shall see how long Emma will show interest.
Here is a desert I made yesterday for our Bible study group. It turned out good. Ginger, butternut squash squares with white chocolate frosting. Doesn't it sound good (it is gone now).
On another note there is no new news on our adoption. We are still waiting. It has been over two months since there have been any referrals with AWAA (our agency). I guess I just want to see things to start moving again for someone. We are also not sure if the court is open yet. I thought it would be closed until the middle of October but I read on other blogs that it might already be open. Each week we think that things will start moving and by the time Thursday rolls around we know that nothing is going to happen. I am sure it will happen but sometime I feel it never will happen. Just like the end of a pregnancy. You think the baby will never come out (and yes they do). Since Fil's mom will be flying in to watch our kids we would like to know sooner then later. She decided to come in November anyway and we are so happy that she is. The kids do miss grandma and we can't wait forever. Believe me I have a plan A and plan B and even plan C for our travel time. But somehow deep down I know there is a different plan "G" with God written all over it. I know this is what will happen. Not in my timing but His and I am glad for that.

Also I wanted to write a little about the Guatemalan adoption situation I posted last week. We received another e.mail last week from our friends who are waiting on their referral since January. They have been on top of the list all summer waiting to make their first trip anytime. I haven't talked to them yet to see how they are doing. I cannot imagine what how disappointed they must be. I will keep you posted as soon as I know anything.
