NYC mix
I almost forgot to post this blog. This is a mix of pictures from our trip to NYC in March. 
All the above pictures are from Central Park. I can not wait to see it later in the spring.

You can not be in NYC and not eat pizza.
We got a big kick out of this. On Monday we were looking for a place to eat we were surprised to see all to stroller park up in front of every restaurant. As you can see they even have a parking spots for all the stroller. And there were kids everywhere. I sure did not expect that in NYC.
Even NYC has flowers already.

Even NYC has flowers already. Children's Museum in Manhattan
One of the stops on Monday was the Children's Museum in Manhattan. We wanted to do something fun with the kids after spending most of the morning at the Czech consulate (their network connection did not work properly and we had to wait to get my picture taken and signature sent to Prague).
After a walk through Central Park (the Museum was on the other side) the kids had a blast. We haven't taken Emma to the Children's Museum in Boston yet since it has been closed for renovations so I believe this was her first time in a kid's museum. At first she did not know what to do. However, after a little bit she was moving from one place to another (I have to say though that the Boston Museum is much much better and I can not wait to take her there in the summer).
Although the museum was mainly for younger kids the boys enjoyed it too. The big hit was the fire truck with all the gear and a fire to put out.
Emma in Dr. Seuss car. I guess it is more the Cat in the Hat car.
Here is Sam with Nate with Frog and Toad. Frog and Toad is their favorite story and they read it with grandma many times when she comes visit.

Yes we did stop at the American Girl Doll store (there are only 3 in USA). You should have seen Emma's eyes. First she was not so sure what was going on but as soon she realized that she can touch all those dolls and play with them she was on a mission. 
Most of our time was spent on the third floor since that is where the Bitty Baby and Bitty Twins are (she is too small for the other dolls). She enjoyed carrying them around and she was trying to dress them and rock them to sleep.
The tub was her favorite (she is such a little mother).
Yes we did get her a doll. She is so good with her other dolls at home and she is potty trained as well (what a big girl and she is only 19 months) so this was her present. She did not know what was in the bag the whole time. We gave her the doll when we got home and let me tell you she is a busy mom :)

There is not much I can add here. We all know what happened. We got to see the Pennsylvania memorial few years back before Emma was born. 
Statue of Liberty
For those of you who did not know we had to make a trip to New York City last weekend. Since I will need a new passport next year and I am not US citizen I needed to go to the Czech Consulate to take care of the paperwork. We do not like to leave things until the last minute so we went ahead and started the process. The closest consulate is in NYC so we made a weekend trip out of it (we didn't complain too much since we now had a valid excuse to go).
We had a "few" things that needed to be done on Saturday so we did not get to CT until later in the day (we took the train in from Stamford CT). Sunday was our first full day in the city. I will have to split the trip into different blog entries. Just in case you did not notice this blog entry is from Liberty Island.
I was just happy it was not freezing. We had chilly weather but nothing to complain about.
When we told the boys last week where we were going, you should have seen their eyes. They got so exited. We got all the books we could carry from the library and they studied all information they could get their little hands on. They were especially excited about the Statue of Liberty. So we made it our first stop. We took the ferry to the island and walked around (we did not go inside the statue since the tickets are sold out few weeks in advance).
